My friend Karlo, a fellow photographer — and a fantastic one at that — contacted me last week to see if I was interested in filling in for him on a shoot because he had to go out of town. Honored that he reached out to me, I jumped at the opportunity and last weekend did a shoot for Lancaster’s PRiMA Theatre Company’s carbaret show.
The theme of the performance was the music of Billy Joel, and members of the troupe put on a fantastic show in one of my favorite haunts — Prince Street Café. Accompanying the performers was a phenomenal five-piece band.
The place was flowing with audience members, who really seemed to enjoy themselves. And the incredible energy of the performers was palpable and contagious.
Here are a few shots from the event:
I have to admit this was my first cabaret show. But not my last! (If you are in the Lancaster area, or feel like taking a little trip, PRiMA Theatre will be putting on a Glee-inspired performance in September. Come check it out!)
So a heartfelt thanks to Karlo for passing on this opportunity to me, and to PRiMA Theatre for a wonderful experience.
