Invigorated!

That’s what a vacation is supposed to do to you, right? Well, it sure worked for me this time. Two weeks in the Carolinas and I came back with a clearer vision and a much longer photography to-do list. And that peaceful, easy feeling I had while on vacation has (miraculously!) stuck with me in the two weeks since vacay ended.

I used the time away to slow down, relax, reflect, take stock of where I am and where I want to go, make plans, spend time with family and friends who really feel more like family, and have loads of fun! I had a shoot while in the Outer Banks and was completely mesmerized by the glorious, colorful sunsets we had. Every one of them was different and breathtaking, if you took the time to really look.

Which was a smack-in-the-face kind of reminder that the uniqueness of every moment and every person we encounter has the potential to take our breaths away… if we pay a little more attention and open ourselves.

So in the midst of our busy lives, I hope we can all take a few moments every day to slow down, absorb and appreciate what and who we have in our lives.

And if you’re thinking you aren’t interested in any philosophical stuff right now, well then just look at the purty pictures….

Love it, Jenn. And thanks for the reminder. All too often we forget that what we already have is really what we are searching for!
